Heart and Soul Music is the combined effort of Robert Goldstick, Lynda Richards, and Tugger (Tugger is in doggie heaven now after a full life of bringing joy to everyone she met, particularly the residents of the nursing homes. As she was an integral part of the show (she gets more air time in the KCTS clip than Robert which shows the proper priority), she will always be a part of Heart and Soul Music). They started this enterprise to promote the use of high quality live music performances and appropriate recorded music in convalescent hospitals, nursing homes, and hospice care.  They both have seen the truly miraculous effects of music on our elderly population.  Robert's observations come from his performances in nursing homes since 1993.  Lynda's come from her experience as a Hospice social worker and Assistant Activity Director.   After they met in March, 2000, their combined passion to "change the world a little bit" by bringing more musical joy to our seniors was the impetus for this endeavor.  This website, combined with daily live performances, one-on-one room visits, and musical CDs and videos they offer, represents the result of their efforts to date.  They hope that, by promoting this concept of an aggressive musical program, they can help to change the life experience of our elders in these institutions.
