At Heart and Soul Music, our goal is to promote professional quality music shows and the use of appropriate recorded music to improve the quality of life in convalescent hospitals, nursing homes, and Alzheimer's facilities.
First and foremost we present music for you to listen to. These are on the MIDI MUSIC SAMPLE Page and are provided for educational purposes. Any group of 20 songs from this music will entertain most of the folks in long-term care situations. Enjoy the music.
For CAREGIVERS we provide musical tools to help your residents have a better quality of life. Our first priority is to promote the use of Live Shows to give everyone a real pick-me-up every day. The two shows we presents are 1) The Piano Bar Show with Robert Goldstick – an hour-long musical journey of songs from the 1920s to the 1960s with stories and requests and 2) A Musical Cruise Show consisting of Robert on the steel drum performing the songs of the Caribbean and South America. For the other 23 hours a day, we provide appropriate Recorded Music consisting primarily of a soothing solo piano series called Piano Magic and Musical Memories. These CDs and videos have been proven to provide a serene environment that is particularly effective for Alzheimer’s patients. Additional information and discussion is presented for Activity Directors and Administrators.
For MUSICIANS, we provide first The Musicians Page giving you everything you need to be able to perform shows and get gigs including Favorite Songs to choose from, Piano Accompaniment for singers and instrumentalists, a Workshop outline so you can see some of the background behind providing a good entertaining show and samples for Letters and Brochures.

In our Stories pages we recount some of the happier and some of the more serious moments of our experiences as well as share some of those that have been shared by other performers.
KCTS, the PBS station is Seattle, WA recently filmed Robert performing a show at Leon Sullivan Health Care Center. They presented this story as part of the special “The Forgetting” to show the positive effects of music on Alzheimer’s patients. The results are nothing less than amazing and you can see that for yourself.
